Raymond Michael Toth,
President and Surveyor for Swiftsure Marine Surveyors
Raymond
started Swiftsure Marine Surveyors out of a passion for the boating
industry and a keen desire to help boaters ensure their vessel is a
safe platform that fits their needs. Raymond’s experience as a
power and a sail boater in recreational, competitive, and
constructional capacities combines well with his military background
(including experience as an Accident Investigator) to offer clients
a well-rounded and reliable service. He decided to devote that
experience to serving the marine community after having studied
under a surveyor in Victoria and having been inspired by the late
Jonathon Watson. Raymond is a member of ABYC and of Boat US
Technical Exchange, continually upgrading his skills and
professional knowledge to stay on top of industry advancements.
At
present, Raymond is a student of Yacht Design with Westlawn
Institute of Marine Technology.
Toby Rae Toth
Artist, etcetera
A degree in Literature and a career in the military have combined
well to round out Toby's areas of expertise. For both
Watermark Yacht Portraits and SMS, Toby handles scheduling, web
design and publishing, and administrative functions, including
keeping the books and editing and proofing the survey reports.
Toby conceptualized the look of both businesses, having designed the
logos, and she spearheads the advertising and marketing. Not
born into the world of boating, Toby has experienced a steep
learning curve since having been hooked on sailing on our old San
Juan 28, "Swiftsure." She tries to convey her new
found beauty of
boating in all of her artwork.
